Algorithms and circuits for sensory processing
The Clark Lab studies how small circuits of visual neurons extract information from scenes to guide behavior. The group is interested in understanding the circuits, algorithms, and mechanisms involved in generating complex behaviors that are elicited and guided by visual inputs. These goals intersect with the neurocomputation and plasticity sections of the Wu Tsai Institute.

Biography
Damon Clark received his bachelor's degree in physics from Princeton University and his PhD in physics from Harvard University, yet he has always been most excited about problems in neuroscience. He began his lab at Yale in 2013 in the Department of Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology. He and his wife, Miranda, have two daughters, Emi and Vivienne.
